An excellent day in academia

For academics, some days are better than others. For me, this is one of them. Today, I got two papers published in the same issue of the same journal. The first, that focuses into the liaison role of project controller in new product development projects, is written together with Thommie Burström. The second, highlighting the role of transition in temporary organizations is a result of a collaboration with both Timothy L. Wilson and Thommie Burström.

The full reference of the first paper is;

Burström, Thommie and Jacobsson, Mattias (2013), “The Informal Liaison Role of Project Controllers in New Product Development Projects”, International Journal of Managing Projects in Business, Vol. 6, No. 3, pp. 410-424. [Download here]

The full reference of the second paper is;

Jacobsson, Mattias., Burström, Thommie and Wilson, Timothy L (2013), “The Role of Transition in Temporary Organizations: Linking Temporary to the Permanent”, International Journal of Managing Projects in Business, Vol. 6, No. 3, pp. 576-586. [Download here]

Especially interesting about the second paper is that it is a part of a trilogy of (hopefully) thought provoking notes in the same issue of IJMPB. The other two papers are “Temporary organizations and end states: A theory is a child of its time and in need of reconsideration and reconstruction” by Rolf A. Lundin, Anders Söderholm and “A chunk view of research into temporary organizations” by Karlos Artto.
